The Bayou Bridge Film Series will screen PART 3 OF AWAKE, A Dream from Standing Rock.
The Water Protectors at Standing Rock captured world attention through their peaceful resistance. AWAKE, A Dream from Standing Rock captures the story of Native-led defiance that forever changed the fight for clean water, our environment and the future of our planet. The film is a collaboration between Indigenous filmmakers, Director Myron Dewey, Executive Producer Doug Good Feather and environmental Oscar Nominated filmmakers Josh Fox and James Spione.
THE BAYOU BRIDGE FILM SERIES
The Fisherman. The Pastor. The Archivist. A series of short films depicting the people and communities that are protecting our culture and our water against the proposed Bayou Bridge Pipeline in Louisiana. The pipeline is proposed by Energy Transfer Partners, one of the worst companies in the industry for incidents and human rights abuses.
Doors open at 5:00 PM for folks who reserved tickets ahead of time.
At 5:20 PM all reservations will be released and the floor opened for general seating on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The screening will be followed by a discussion panel with film subjects and local water protectors.
