The Reel Work Labor Film Festival will screen the documentary AWAKE, A Dream from Standing Rock on April 26 at 4pm in Monterey County. This film focuses on the Dakota Access Pipeline, a controversial project that brings fracked crude oil from the Bakken Shale in North Dakota through South Dakota, Iowa and eventually to Illinois. The Water Protectors at Standing Rock captured world attention through their peaceful resistance.
